Low Season in Costa Rica:
Another day in Paradise, it is the morning, sunny and windy at Mountains and
Beaches a perfect moment to stay and enjoy the ocean, the pool or take a
water rafting tour at the river. After noon it gets cloudy and starts
raining for a couple of hours, this is a typical day during these months in Costa Rica.
New Roads:
Here's a good excuse for a getaway this green season to the beaches on
the pacific of Costa Rica.
The new road to Caldera is ready and you can get Jaco beach in around 1
hour and 25 minutes, This new road is the number 27 and is listed on most GPS,
the main connection to this 27 starts at Gimnacio Nacional located in la
Sabana Park, the other important access starts at the "Circunvalacion"
number 39.
This access is located just 1 kilometer from our SJO office location.
If you are in Jaco or Quepos and want to visit Dominical or Palmar Sur area
starting the new road is ready and conected, national route number 34.
Ferry from Puntarenas city to Paquera in Nicoya:
Are you visiting Tambor, Mal Pais beach, Montezuma, Santa Teresa etc. in
Nicoya Peninzula ? The Ferry Service from Naviera Tambor has an special
horary for this low season.
Remember you have get the Ferry Station in advance at least 2 hours prior
your departure.
Park your vehicle on the access line to the Ferry, then wait for a person
from the Ferry Company who will provide you a ticket (Receipt) as proof for
you of 1 space for your vehicle in the Ferry.
Whithout that ticket they won`t sell you the ticket to transport your
vehicle.
Then send someone in your party to the Ferry Office, to buy the Ferry
Tickets, you will need around 7000 colones (around $15 usd) for your vehicle
and 810 colones ($1.65 usd) for each passenger, note that the vehicle`s
driver is not included on the car`s rate.
